At Turtley Eco, we take pride in supporting small businesses who share our ethos of a more sustainable planet. I am so pleased to announce that as of 24th August 2019 we will now be planting one tree for every single order placed! There are a variety of projects and I will switch between the projects, I am currently donating to an incredibly special wildlife habitat and corridor restoration partnership between One Tree Planted and the Jane Goodall Institute. The trees will be planted in the Albertine Rift forests of Uganda, close to where Dr. Jane Goodall began her extraordinary career and fell in love with chimpanzees - our closest wildlife relatives. Donations here will go towards planting 3 million trees as part of a broad long-term and large-scale initiative that will connect forests for wildlife, establish tree nurseries, strengthen forest monitoring and law enforcement to prevent future deforestation, promote agroforestry practices that integrate trees into farming systems, and much more. There will also be an option to add an extra tree to your order if you wish to.
Why I love One Tree Planted
Trees are vital for the future of our planet. They provide oxygen, conserve water, support a diversity of wildlife, improve air quality, absorb carbon dioxide plus other greenhouse gases and so much more. It is no secret that our planet is suffering - when trees are changed, reduces or eliminated the carbon is then returned into the atmosphere as CO2 which in turn has a role in warming our earths atmosphere. It is estimated that despite their importance humans have cut down nearly half of the trees on the planet so far. We need to put trees back, in any way we can. I am so so pleased that Turtley Eco can play their part in reforestation. 'The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now'.
You can now place your plastic free order knowing you are planting a tree.
About One Tree Planted
'As an environmental charity, we are dedicated to making it easier for individuals and businesses to give back to the environment, fight climate change, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world. All by planting trees!
Started in 2014, we have more than doubled the number of trees planted year over year. Fast-forward to today, we now work with awesome reforestation partners in North America, South America, Asia, and Africa who help us get trees in the ground to restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs, build communities, and protect habitat for biodiversity.
'Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world'
